This last week Britain released government files on UFO sightings containing sketches of unexplained objects, and I happened to be on vacation in Roswell, New Mexico -- famous for being the terrestrial home of all things extra. Inspired to do some alien hunting, I hit up Roswell's UFO Museum and Research Center to search for some Asian UFO files.
Asia has a rich UFO sighting history dating back centuries, including stories of aliens visiting the Great Wall of China, and more recently video footage of strange objects in the skies -- and I wanted to see what the museum had hidden away in dusty corners that could add to Asia's own UFO lore.
But why hunt for Asian UFO sighting reports in Southwest America? Because Roswell, New Mexico is the UFO capital of the world. The small American city (population 48,000) experienced what many believe is the most significant UFO event of the 20th century when in July of 1947 a flying saucer supposedly crashed on a farmer's ranch, and alien bodies were recovered.
Ever since the incident at Roswell, UFO-ologists and enthusiasts have made Roswell their Mecca, with around 100,000 people from around the world visiting in July of every year for the UFO festival celebrating the 1947 Roswell UFO incident and UFOs in general.
The UFO Museum and Research Center features a complete history of the Roswell crash and the ensuing U.S. government claims and reports involving weather balloons and dummies falling from the sky. It also features a complete research center with just about every UFO report, periodical, magazine and sighting ever been produced or recorded.
At the UFO Research Center, I found two file cases containing Asian UFO magazines and reports dating back to 1955. Some of the stories describe sightings by Thai airforce pilots or strange lights over Japan, while others suggested we puny humans try our best to appease our otherworldly overlords because our ancestors performed intercourse with aliens.
Just like believing in UFOs, its up to you to decide if some of these stories are real, fabricated, insane or natural phenomenon.

The Phoenix Lights is the premiere UFO event examined in a groundbreaking new documentary film set to air on the History Channel Sunday, October 4 with an encore on Monday the 5th. SETI was founded in response to a September 1959 Nature journal article, “Searching for Interstellar Communication”, which suggested that a systematic search for alien life was worthwhile.
Since then, it has spent 50 years listening to the stars with radio telescopes, and at times trying to send messages of its own to other planets.
Here are 10 of the most significant events in mankind’s search for other life.
Little Green Men: Pulsars In 1967, astronomers in the UK spotted a radio signal from another star. Nothing too remarkable in that, as all stars emit radio waves.
What was unexpected, though, was that this one turned itself on and off with perfect regularity: one 0.04 second pulse every 1.3373 seconds.
The metronomic beat sparked speculation that it might be a signal from an alien life form, and the signal was given the name LGM-1, standing for Little Green Men.
In fact, the astronomers had discovered a new type of star – a pulsar. A form of neutron star (an incredibly dense dead star: one just 12 miles across would weigh more than our Sun), they rotate at a huge velocity, giving off powerful beams of radiation as they spin.
Martian bacteria? In 1984, a rock was found in the Allan Hills, Antarctica. It is believed to have been formed on Mars around 4.5 billion years ago, before being blasted into space by meteorite impacts around 15 million years ago.
It then wandered through space for millions of years, before crashing into our planet about 11,000 years before the birth of Christ.
An interesting enough history, but the meteorite – known as ALH84001 – really made the headlines in 1996. Structures that resembled tiny fossilised bacteria were found, as were organic molecules, sparking theories of ancient life on Mars. The excitement grew so great that US President Bill Clinton made a televised announcement about the find.
Arguments over whether these really are evidence of Martian life, or whether the sample has become contaminated during its time on Earth, are still raging today.
Earth-like planets ‘Terrestrial’, or rocky, planets, are considered the most likely place for life to be found. There are four in our own solar system – Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars.
But in the last few years, the first possible examples of Earth-like planets outside our system have been found. In 2007 European scientists said they had found two – the third and fourth planets around the red dwarf Gliese 581 – which might be habitable.
Water on Mars This month the news broke that the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter has spotted evidence of ice in five locations on Mars. It is the latest in a series of discoveries of water on the planet, indicating that the planet may have had a more humid climate at some stage in the last few thousand years.
Water is required for all known forms of life, so the existence of water on other planets increases the likelihood that life exists elsewhere.
Drake equation The first serious attempt to quantify the likelihood of humanity coming into contact with alien life, the Drake equation reads: N=fp ne fl fi fc L.
It states that if we know the rate of star formation, the percentage of stars that have habitable planets, and the percentage of those planets that are likely at any given time to support life that signals its existence to the universe, we could estimate how many civilisations in our galaxy we might communicate with.
Unfortunately, none of those factors are known, so we are still guessing.
The Aricebo Message Not part of the search for life per se, but rather helping anyone else who may be looking for us. In November 1974, a message was beamed from the Aricebo radio telescope towards the M13 star cluster, about 25,000 light years away. The message, created by Drake equation author Frank Drake and physicist Carl Sagan, included an image of a human and information about the makeup of DNA.
Sadly, M13 will have moved by the time it arrives.
Voyager Three years later, in 1977, the two Voyager space probes were launched. As well as their scientific equipment, they contain gold discs containing information about Earth, including Mozart’s music and greetings in 54 human languages. It is currently around 10 billion miles from Earth; its radio signals take 15 hours to reach us, even at the speed of light.
In May 2005, NASA scientists said that Voyager 1 had reached the heliosheath, the boundary that marks the edge of the solar system. It is expected to pass through into interstellar space in 2015, becoming the first man-made object ever to leave the Sun’s orbit.
Kepler telescope In March, the Kepler Mission was launched with the express goal of finding Earth-like planets around other stars.
It is designed to find small planets by watching stars closely to see if they suddenly get dimmer, indicating that something has passed in front of them. For an Earth-sized planet, that would mean the star becoming dimmer by just 0.01 per cent.
However, it was never spotted again. After he had calmed down, the discoverer Dr Jerry R Ehman said he believed it was “an Earth-sourced signal that simply got reflected off a piece of space debris.”
Another candidate for evidence of alien life was SHGb02+14a, a signal spotted three times in March 2003. It was at a frequency expected to be used by extraterrestrials – the frequency at which hydrogen absorbs and emits photons.
However, again there were reasons to be sceptical, not least that it came from a direction in which there are no stars for 1000 light years. While impossible to rule out extraterrestrial origin, it may have been a distorted signal from a pulsar, or just random noise.
SETI@home In the 21st century the search for extraterrestrial life continues in hundreds of thousands of bedrooms and offices around the world.
Launched in 1999, SETI@home is the name given to a virtual supercomputer made of huge numbers of internet-linked home computers. Anybody can download the software and allow SETI to use their spare processing power to scour data from radio telescopes for evidence of alien intelligence.
In terms of power it is the fourth most powerful computer on the planet. It was this network of home computers that spotted SHGb02+14a, and one NASA scientist has predicted that it will find an alien signal by 2025.
UNIVERSITY OF UTAH -- One University of Utah class is hunting down the lovable E.T. with radios and books.
The class Does Extraterrestrial Intelligence Exist? uses a scientific method to theorize where E.T. could be and how to contact him.
“We are basically trying to notify E.T. that we exist, and the idea of current thinking is that E.T. might be doing something similar to this,” George Cassiday, the physics professor who teaches the class, said.
Students search for E.T. by analyzing radio telescope data, made available through downloadable software, which enables students to obtain radio signals on their home computers and find patterns in the signal that might be generated in an unnatural way.
Students will also be creating their own patterns to signal life on earth in binary code, and beam the code through radio signals into other galaxies with the hope that inhabitants of another planet will receive the pattern, decode the message and, in turn, respond with a message of their own.
The laws of physics and the fundamental building blocks of all existence are universal, Cassiday said, and it is assumed that E.T. would be familiar with the same math and science that humans use.
The class, which fulfills a general science credit, also tackles topics such as the composition of life and how humans came into existence, which are essential to understanding the possibility of extraterrestrial life and its evolution.
“We normally think of evolution through our species, but we don’t usually think about evolution of our planet, which is very interesting,” said Mari Broadhead, a senior in communication sciences and disorders who took the class in 2007.
The class does not require a prerequisite, but a strong background in physics and math is fundamental because the class is much more complex than the name suggests, Broadhead said.
“I push them, but I don’t destroy them,” Cassiday said. “Students get into it and they’re stunned—it’s not easy.”
The following paragraphs summarize the messages that Mark Kimmel has uncovered during his research. He has distilled these messages from communications from extraterrestrials, communications from contactees, and observations of extraterrestrials and extraterrestrial craft:
Quasi-physical. Extraterrestrials have technology that allows them to shift from quasi-physical reality, dematerialize and rematrerialize. Thousands of pilots, military men and women, government witnesses, and civilians have seen extraterrestrial spacecraft materialize and disappear. Existing in the non-physical or quasi-physical enables extraterrestrial craft to travel faster than the speed of light. Extraterrestrials purposefully shift into our physical realm to enable us to see them, or to communicate with us.
Mind-to-mind. Extraterrestrials are able to communicate mind-to-mind. In many cases their communications are of images or concepts; in some instances they communicate using precise words. By communicating in this way they bypass spoken words. Highly developed forms of this type of communications enable them to dispense with radio signals based on the electromagnetic spectrum. This enables them to communicate over the vast distances of space faster than light speed.
Ancestors. The messages from 'ethical' extraterrestrials reconfirm non-biased research into our origins. Life was brought to this planet first by life carriers who implaneted the ancient seas with the first life forms. After millions of years, Earth had become a lush paradise with diverse non-sentient life forms.
The "Starseed Project" was initiated by a group of extraterrestrials who wished to combine their somewhat different races into a single harmonized race -- this had not been done before. They brought representatives of their various races to this world. Not long thereafter, other manipulative extraterrestrials saw this experiment as an opportunity to conquer a defenceless world and enslave its people. Thus began the course of human self-destructive development that has persisted to this time.
Today we not only have the progeny of these long ago activities, with cellular memories of their ancestry, we also have many different off-planet beings who have incarnated to be present at this moment.
Extraterrestrial Agendas:
There are two principle agendas currently being pursued by non-humans involved with the affairs of this world. There are those who desire humanity to evolve into cosmic citizens. There are those who wish to continue to enslave us.
Avoid WMD. Judging by their interest in our nuclear facilities, extraterrestrials are concerned about our weapons of mass destruction. They have repeatedly been seen observing our nuclear manufacturing, storage, and testing sites. Based on the testimony of military witnesses (The Disclosure Project), they have shown their ability to disable our intercontinental missiles in flight and in their underground launch silos.
Caretakers. As detailed in Turkish and Russian meteor incidents, extraterrestrials have demonstrated a caretaker attitude toward us by fragmenting large meteors before they cause damage.
Healers. The many reports of healings, accomplished by extraterrestrials, points to a caring attitude towards us. Several books detail instances in which extraterrestrials have healed everything from cuts to cancer.
Earth-humans viewed as prey. According to Zecharia Sitchin and other researchers, translations of clay tablets, from the ancient Sumarian civilization that existed in the area now know as Iraq, point to biological experimentation with pre-humans by an extraterrestrial race identified as the Anunnaki. The results of those experiments were our human ancestors, created as a race of slaves. This story has been verified by recent extraterrestrials messages. This same race of extraterrestrials believe they "own" modern humans, and would return them to the status of slaves.
Want the highest for us. A different race of extraplanetary beings see Earth-humans differently. They too supplied some of our genetic make-up. They too say they are related to us. However, the Plaeidians and their associates would like us to recognize who we really are (creatures possessing a fragment of the Creator), would like us to take control of this planet, and would like us to join with other evolved civilizations of the universe. Thus we have the second set of players in the galactic chess game in which Earth-humans are the pawns.
Debilitating chemicals & energies Diverse extraterrestrial beings are telling us that we, Earth-humans, ingest and misuse many chemicals and energies. Many insecticides are unnecessary. Many food additives are uncalled for. We are bombarded with energies from electronic and electrical devices. At the same time, off-planet races recognizes that the current population of the Earth is excessive. Some of our chemicals and energies have been purposefully engineered to debilitate and/or degrade us, physically and mentally.
Environmental crisis. Observers from space see the pollution of Earth's air, water, and land. For many years, they have been telling us that we need to recognize and remedy this situation. They see the melting of the polar ice caps as a sign that there will be shifts in the crust of the Earth. Most recently, they are saying that an environmental crisis can not be avoided, and that some of the destruction is irreversible.
Here to assist, not "save" us. Those extraplanetary beings who wish us to mature and cooperate with races from other evolved planets, are offering to show us the way to cast off our current situation. They are not willing to step in and use their superior technology and knowledge to"save" us. They are unwilling to create a planet of dependents.
At the same time, there are other off-planet races who would welcome the opportunity to create a race of dependents. They are prepared to oppose the dictates of the apparent majority of extraplanetary races.
Planetary metamorphosis necessary. Certain extraplanetary races are waiting to take advantage of the chaos due to unfavourable environmental influences and/or nuclear war. Others wait for the majority of humans to awaken and take control of the planet. All agree that a period of change is needed and that such a transformation will occur quite soon.
Role of a prospective Cosmic Paradigm
Messages from extraplanetary beings have been delivered repeatedly over the ages. We the people of Earth have tended to ignore them.
The Cosmic Paradigm is about recognizing our current situation and then taking action to transition it for the benefit of all people of this planet.
1. Recognize that the current situation does not operate in the best interests of the vast majority of people on this planet. Recognize that we, the people, are allowing this situation to continue, and that we have the power to do something about it.
2. Acknowledge that we are not the only inhabited planet, that we are one of many. Promote a proper attitude for interacting with non-human life forms. 3. See a new world, a veritable paradise. Affirm that such a planet is possible and act as if we are achieving this situation.
Where we go from here is largely determined by you and the other people of this planet. We can continue in our mode of violence and self-destruction, or we can choose to embrace a higher way to live.
Contact with extraplanetary and intraplanetary beings is but the tip of the new reality iceberg. Almost every facet of our current existence is a lie, a lie perpetuated by those who enslave us.
Each of us should take careful note, and consider whether they wish to act in accordance with the Cosmic Paradigm:
1. There is much more than the physical reality we normally experience. We are here, on this planet, at this moment in time, by our own choice. We are here to actively participate in the transition of humanity.
2. The universe is teeming with life. There is one Creator and there are trillions of non-human life forms, some similar to us. Off-planet beings have been here for many thousands of years, with mixed agendas.
3. We are being invited to become members of the cosmic family. To qualify, we must reverse this planet from its current devolving condition, and we must do it very soon.
4. We, the humans of this planet, are the only ones to make this happen. Our current leaders will not do it for us. Extraterrestrials will not do it for us. We are the ones who must act -- now.
5. We are more individually powerful than we have been taught. Collectively we have the power to create a veritable paradise.
Extraterrestrial contact is but the starting point to an understanding of the facets of this pivotal juncture in human history. Fortunately I am fluent in the language spoken of the video, so I am working on a full transcript to English, but the most important to say now is that the object hovered for over 2 hours, it was filmed live by the news crew over the city of Rio Branco (this city is in the Amazonian region) , and it changed from red to blue to white, and remained absolutely stationary, frightening the population.
All News Web recently received a series of brief emails from some-one who claimed to have worked in the Pentagon within the DARPA agency on a project that involved collaborating closely with both NASA’s Ames Research Centre and SETI. The person who has identified herself as ‘Tina’ has provided us with a number of scanned documents that back the veracity of her claims to some extent. The correspondent claims to have SAP clearance and has had some access to ‘Black Project’ information. She claims that a multitude of departments house small nucleuses of employees working on the same or related projects and information is very compartmentalised, provided on ‘a need to know’ basis at her level of clearance.
‘Tina’ has a university degree in marketing and came to work on the project which she declines to name via an initial position in the Pentagons public relations operations. Her position involved relaying and rewriting electronic messages for distribution to certain world organisations regarding imminent open contact with an alien race. We are unsure as to why she has contacted All News Web. According to Tina the last and only physical meeting between aliens and the Government and indeed the only actual official Government recorded UFO landing and alien visitation in the last century up until now occurred in the early 1950’s and was a meeting between three alien explorers and President Truman. The meeting involved some form of limited telepathic communication and involved the Aliens expressing relief that WW2 had come to an end. The aliens promised to return one day. The Aliens were about three foot and of somewhat classic ‘Grey’ appearance. Photographs were taken and these, which have been seen by a handful of media figures (Stanley Kubrick, Steven Spielberg), have become a basis for the traditional image of ‘Grey’ aliens.The Aliens are believed to come from a planet about thirty light years away and it is unknown if they possess faster than light transport. Tina did not receive any information on Roswell or any reverse engineering projects involving ET technology. She does not discount other informal alien or UFO incidents.
The aliens seek to establish ties with Earthlings. They are able to monitor the goings on here remotely and it appears they are at least a thousand years ahead of humans technologically. According to Tina SETI is receiving and concealing regular explicit signals (and has been doing so for at least seven years) from this race that state that they are returning to earth in around four years (2013) and have spacecraft essentially mid-journey. The extra-terrestrials will land openly and in a way that will conclusively prove their presence and are doing so unilaterally. They have given the US government until then to prepare humanity for this event. According to ‘Tina’s’ emails some powerful security figures would like to thwart this open contact but are powerless to do so. Many figures associated with NASA and even the Pentagon are positive about the event and a conspiracy to hide the truth form the world’s population is not unanimous. What all parties agree on is that the best course of action is to leave any announcement of the event to the absolute latest possible time so as not to frighten people or harm the economy.Major churches have been briefed on the matter and are being given time to shift their positions so as to accommodate this new reality. The US Govt has been ‘requested’ to mend and clean up rivalries and conflicts in preparation and this extra-ordinary event and this is the primary reason for Barack Obama’s peace gesture to Iran and indeed his very presidency. Barack Obama is in almost daily contact with SETI and is communicating with the aliens directly. The concept of internet search engines was introduced by the aliens and they are in contact with Google through SETI. They are able to access the internet currently and this was conceived for the purpose of allowing them to understand as much about earth as possible prior to arrival. A video posted March 21, 2009, on Youtube claims to be the real deal of the Nov. 7, 2006, Chicago O'Hare Airport UFO sighting.
The video is posted with the headline - "Chicago O'Hare Airport UFO Witness Breaks His Silence." The username is ohareufowitness, age 39, someone who joined Youtube on the same day as the posting.
Illinois MUFON Director Sam Maranto, who has studied this case extensively, was able to watch the video from his Chicago area home today.
"The footage is shot at an impossible angle," Maranto said. "It was 1500' to 1900' above gate c-17, 200' - 400' below the solid overcast...too bright of backdrop...too big of an object. Unless this person was in the tower where it could not have been seen."

"I have sat on this evidence for over 2 years, mainly because of the nature of my background, if you knew who I was then you would understand.
"Back on November 7th 2006, I was near Chicago O'hare International airport when I was witness to what was arguably one of the most important UFO incidents in modern times. After the incident, many people jumped on the UFO bandwagon and came forward with false evidence, I can't speak for these individuals, I can only speak for myself.
"I witnessed a gigantic UFO hovering over the Airport at precisely 4:32 p.m. The UFO was a dark, hazy metallic disc/cigar shaped craft. It was at a height of roughly 750 feet from the ground, completely silent, frozen still, and was well over 100 meters in length. I managed to film the UFO on my cell phone for 1 minute, I observed the UFO for a further 1 minute, after which time it took off, and went upwards at tremendous speed and was gone.
"If you watch the clip properly, at the start of the clip you can clearly see a large passenger jet taking off, and flying directly under the UFO, which shows just how huge this thing was. The UFO was completely frozen still, and any movement on the video clip is camera movement and camera shake. I filmed the UFO on my cell phone with the zoom set to full.
"This is arguably one of the most important pieces of UFO photographic evidence in existence, and to ever be posted on the internet, simply because I know it was a genuine Unidentified Flying Object, and it was witnessed by many credible individuals, including pilots.
"Yes I would love to come forward and go public with my story, but this is just not an option for me, due to my job. So that is why I have posted the clip on You Tube. For those who don't want to believe the truth, thats up to you, but what you are seeing is genuine footage of an unknown craft, and shame on the worlds media for all the ridicule they threw at this unbelievable incident."
And defending himself March 24 from critics, the video photographer writes this.
"Ok, so I will answer some of the main questions directed at me. All I can say is that the footage is 100% real and genuine. The reason it's not great quality is because it's only 3 mega pixel cell phone footage, and yes we had zoom 2 years ago, and to say I filmed it of a screen is untrue and insane. The sound is crappy because I was at some distance from the aircraft, and cell phone's dont pick up much sound, they only have a tiny microphone for recording sound. The reason I only got one minute's worth of footage is because my cell phone's memory was full and? it stopped recording. Dont you think I would just pay somebody to create me a stunning piece of evidence if I really wanted to pull a hoax???? Think about it..........."

This footage is very rare and was hard to find, its from the live STS-48 NASA feed in 1991. If these are space debris, don't you think they are "going a little too fast" ? I mean, unless debris has a self-propelling device other than inertia.....and more importantly (watch the whole video and wait for the very last one)....if these are space debris, why, ( oh why!) most of them are going UP, and the very last one is going DOWN? Souldn't they all be orbiting around earth? Just wondering......comments most welcome.
The new movie RACE TO WITCH MOUNTAIN, which opened in theatres on Friday, March 13, continues the acclimation process for the public on the possibility or probability that we are being visited by extraterrestrial and/or extra-dimensional intelligent beings.
Interestingly, March 13 is also the anniversary of the 1997 "Phoenix lights incident" when a huge V-shaped craft reportedly flew slowly, silently and at a low altitude over Phoenix in the early evening hours.
Films, TV shows, books and other media platforms have long been part of an alleged effort to prepare Americans and people internationally for the idea that some unidentified flying objects (UFOs) are piloted by intelligent visitors to Earth.
RACE TO WITCH MOUNTAIN will bring moviegoers a new opportunity to wrap our minds around these concepts.
Director Andy Fickman has stated that the idea of such visitation to Earth is something he finds very interesting and plausible. UFO experts and personnel associated with the U.S. military and the CIA reportedly helped in the research for the movie.
Walt Disney Pictures brought Fickman onboard to help create a newer and different version of the 1975 ESCAPE TO WITCH MOUNTAIN. It is not a remake, but described as "a modern re-imagining." Mark Lopez and Mark Bomback worked on the screenwriting for the project.
HOLLYWOOD AND ACCLIMATION
There have long been reports that Hollywood was recruited to help prepare people for a scenario in which we would need to be ready to deal with the idea of unusual visitors to Earth.
This is consistent with the cooperation between Hollywood and the U.S. defense and intelligence communities during World War II and in subsequent years on a variety of subjects.
Walt Disney allegedly was approached by the U.S. military in the 1950s about creating a movie on this subject. Work was reportedly begun on the film, but the plug was pulled for reasons that remain unclear.
Decades later, Steven Spielberg created CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND. Rumors still circulate that he, too, had government-related sources who whispered in his ear about real-life aspects of the UFO situation.
There is a long list of movies, TV shows and books that address the topics of UFOs, visitors from elsewhere and a range of other unconventional topics that could be related.
Even Army Air Corps veteran Jack Webb of TV's "Dragnet" created the series "Project UFO" which ran on NBC for two seasons in 1978 and 1979. The show followed the activities of two Air Force investigators of Project Bluebook, the real-life program of UFO case investigation, and/or part of the cover-up, according to some observers.
Project Bluebook was based at southwestern Ohio's Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton. As many people know, Wright-Patterson AFB is alleged to be the location where wreckage was taken after the "Roswell incident" in the summer of 1947.

And now, RACE TO WITCH MOUNTAIN will continue this process of sparking the imaginations of movie audiences, and possibly helping us get ready for more understanding and insight about UFOs and unconventional visitors.
Dwayne Johnson stars as a Las Vegas cab driver who meets two kids – or are they? AnnaSophia Robb and Alexander Ludwig play the extraterrestrial kids who must get to the super-secret U.S. facility at Witch Mountain.
Johnson and the ET kids encounter some open-minded and visionary scientists (Carla Gugino and Garry Marshall) while being pursued by "men in black" who want to stop them ... or worse.
The cast includes actors from the original 1975 movie. Kim Richards, who played the girl, is a roadhouse waitress in the new film. Ike Eisenmann, the boy, plays Sheriff Anthony.
Real-life UFO researchers Whitley Strieber and William J. Birnes have cameo roles.
RACE TO WITCH MOUNTAIN is sure to be a fun movie-going experience for kids, teens and adults who will enjoy the fast-paced and thoughtful script.
And, maybe we will be more prepared for new realities dawning in the 21st century.
