QMI AGENCYToronto SUNA new theory has stargazers thinking maybe we haven't found signs of extra-terrestrial life yet because we're going about it the wrong way. Right now, a scientific project known as the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI) is leading the way in the search for life beyond Earth.Their method is to scan outer space for radio transmissions, new or old. They've been doing it for 50 years, and so far, it hasn't really worked out.Physicists interviewed in the Economist say that's not necessarily because there are no aliens. But maybe aliens just don't use radio technology, they propose,Paul Davies, a physicist at Arizona State University, pointed out thatradio-communications are likely to be a short-lived technology, even on Earth, where people are increasingly using fibre optics to communicate.Instead, Dick Carrigan, a retired particle physicist, suggested looking for other signs, like evidence of tampering with the energy output or pollution. The basic idea is to think outside the box and not focus on modern Earth technologies, which could easily become obsolete.Instead of looking for the earliest signs of industrialization, then, perhaps the thing to do is to let the imagination run riot and ask what technology might do to a solar system if it had tens or hundreds of thousands of years to work its magic,” reads the Economist article, Signs of Life.

VATICAN CITY – E.T. phone Rome. Four hundred years after it locked up Galileo for challenging the view that the Earth was the center of the universe, the Vatican has called in experts to study the possibility of extraterrestrial alien life and its implication for the Catholic Church.
"The questions of life's origins and of whether life exists elsewhere in the universe are very suitable and deserve serious consideration," said the Rev. Jose Gabriel Funes, an astronomer and director of the Vatican Observatory.
Funes, a Jesuit priest, presented the results Tuesday of a five-day conference that gathered astronomers, physicists, biologists and other experts to discuss the budding field of astrobiology — the study of the origin of life and its existence elsewhere in the cosmos.
Funes said the possibility of alien life raises "many philosophical and theological implications" but added that the gathering was mainly focused on the scientific perspective and how different disciplines can be used to explore the issue.
Chris Impey, an astronomy professor at the University of Arizona, said it was appropriate that the Vatican would host such a meeting.
"Both science and religion posit life as a special outcome of a vast and mostly inhospitable universe," he told a news conference Tuesday. "There is a rich middle ground for dialogue between the practitioners of astrobiology and those who seek to understand the meaning of our existence in a biological universe."
Thirty scientists, including non-Catholics, from the U.S., France, Britain, Switzerland, Italy and Chile attended the conference, called to explore among other issues "whether sentient life forms exist on other worlds."
Funes set the stage for the conference a year ago when he discussed the possibility of alien life in an interview given prominence in the Vatican's daily newspaper.
The Church of Rome's views have shifted radically through the centuries since Italian philosopher Giordano Bruno was burned at the stake as a heretic in 1600 for speculating, among other ideas, that other worlds could be inhabited.
Scientists have discovered hundreds of planets outside our solar system — including 32 new ones announced recently by the European Space Agency. Impey said the discovery of alien life may be only a few years away.
"If biology is not unique to the Earth, or life elsewhere differs bio-chemically from our version, or we ever make contact with an intelligent species in the vastness of space, the implications for our self-image will be profound," he said.
This is not the first time the Vatican has explored the issue of extraterrestrials: In 2005, its observatory brought together top researchers in the field for similar discussions.
In the interview last year, Funes told Vatican newspaper L'Osservatore Romano that believing the universe may host aliens, even intelligent ones, does not contradict a faith in God.
"How can we rule out that life may have developed elsewhere?" Funes said in that interview.
"Just as there is a multitude of creatures on Earth, there could be other beings, even intelligent ones, created by God. This does not contradict our faith, because we cannot put limits on God's creative freedom."
Funes maintained that if intelligent beings were discovered, they would also be considered "part of creation."
The Roman Catholic Church's relationship with science has come a long way since Galileo was tried as a heretic in 1633 and forced to recant his finding that the Earth revolves around the sun. Church teaching at the time placed Earth at the center of the universe.
Today top clergy, including Funes, openly endorse scientific ideas like the Big Bang theory as a reasonable explanation for the creation of the universe. The theory says the universe began billions of years ago in the explosion of a single, super-dense point that contained all matter.
Earlier this year, the Vatican also sponsored a conference on evolution to mark the 150th anniversary of Charles Darwin's "The Origin of Species."
The event snubbed proponents of alternative theories, like creationism and intelligent design, which see a higher being rather than the undirected process of natural selection behind the evolution of species.
Still, there are divisions on the issues within the Catholic Church and within other religions, with some favoring creationism or intelligent design that could make it difficult to accept the concept of alien life.
Working with scientists to explore fundamental questions that are of interest to religion is in line with the teachings of Pope Benedict XVI, who has made strengthening the relationship between faith and reason a key aspect of his papacy.
Recent popes have been working to overcome the accusation that the church was hostile to science — a reputation grounded in the Galileo affair.
In 1992, Pope John Paul II declared the ruling against the astronomer was an error resulting from "tragic mutual incomprehension."
The Vatican Museums opened an exhibit last month marking the 400th anniversary of Galileo's first celestial observations.
Tommaso Maccacaro, president of Italy's national institute of astrophysics, said at the exhibit's Oct. 13 opening that astronomy has had a major impact on the way we perceive ourselves.
"It was astronomical observations that let us understand that Earth (and man) don't have a privileged position or role in the universe," he said. "I ask myself what tools will we use in the next 400 years, and I ask what revolutions of understanding they'll bring about, like resolving the mystery of our apparent cosmic solitude."
The Vatican Observatory has also been at the forefront of efforts to bridge the gap between religion and science. Its scientist-clerics have generated top-notch research and its meteorite collection is considered one of the world's best.
The observatory, founded by Pope Leo XIII in 1891, is based in Castel Gandolfo, a lakeside town in the hills outside Rome where the pope has his summer residence. It also conducts research at an observatory at the University of Arizona, in Tucson.

Aerial UFO nocturnal lights over Vancouver B.C. have been filmed by Jon Kelly, the reverse speech expert and witnessed by 3 independent witnesses. The sighting occurred on September 12, 2009, shortly after the passage of a meteor widely reported by the news media.
Kelly, who filmed similar UFO nocturnal lights over Mt. Adams, WA during the 2009 Science, Spirit & World Transformation conference over the July 4, 2009 weekend, states in a written witness statement that the Vancouver, BC noctural lights are “potentially extraterrestrial interdimensional vehicles communicating with earth-based observers in urban environments while being recorded on camera.”
The reported extraterrestrial interdimensional vehicles can be seen in a video below in this article. The photo (above) is a comparison chart of the photo of an interdimensional vehicle versus a Perseid meteor track.
Greetings UFO enthusiasts, This video clip was taken from the inside of an aircraft which has become more common lately. As sightings increase so does the attentive awareness of UFO enthusiasts and seekers who aim to capture these events on camera. We carry our camera with us everywhere we go and do capture wild phenomena ourselves. Not all of what we catch on camera or video is post worthy but never the less we find strange objects in our images often.
Check out this very cool video.

It all began on the evening of August 25, 1951, in Lubbock, Texas. A scientist, Joe Bryant, from the Atomic Energy Commission and his wife were in the yard of their home. A total of 20-30 lights, as bright as stars but larger in size, flew over the yard in a matter of seconds. According to Bryant, he and his wife had seen a group of lights fly overhead, and then two other flights, but when the third group of lights passed overhead they began to circle the Bryant's home. Mr. Bryant and his wife then noticed that the lights were actually plovers, and could hear them as well. The craft was covered with colored lights and strange markings. Unknown to the couple, other witnesses in the area were also seeing strange objects. The next report came from another group of scientists including a geologist, two engineers, and a physicist, each of who observed a formation of nearly three-dozen unidentified turquoise lights moving quickly overhead from north to south. The three professors - Dr. A.G. Oberg, chemical engineer, Dr. W.L. Ducker, a department head and petroleum engineer, and Dr. W.I. Robinson, a geologist - reported their sighting to the local newspaper, the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal. Following the newspaper's article, three women in Lubbock reported that they had observed "peculiar flashing lights" in the sky on the same night of the professor's sightings. Dr. Carl Hemminger, a professor of German at Texas Tech, also reported seeing the objects, as did the head of the college's journalism department. A few hours later, another fleet of UFOs flew over the group of scientists in an unorganized cluster. The “Lubbock Lights” case had begun!
The Lubbock Lights incident received national publicity and is regarded as one of the first great UFO cases in the United States. The couple and the group of scientists reported their sighting to the Air Force, which began an investigation. According to Dr. Grayson Mead the lights "appeared to be about the size of a dinner plate and they were greenish-blue, slightly fluorescent in color. They were smaller than the full moon at the horizon. There were about a dozen to fifteen of these lights...they were absolutely circular...it gave all of us...an extremely eerie feeling." Mead claimed that the lights could not have been birds, but he also admitted that "they (the lights) went over so fast...that we wished we could have had a better look." The professors observed one formation of lights flying above a thin cloud at about 2,000 feet; this allowed them to calculate that the lights were traveling at over 600 MPH.
The Air Force found further confirmation for the sighting when the nearby radar station of the Air Defense Command Network reported that they observed the unknown objects on their radarscopes and clocked them at a speed of 900 miles per hour. The group of scientists was amazed by their two sightings, and they conjectured that the UFOs might return. They decided to conduct a UFO stakeout. To their amazement, the UFOs did return, again and again! Over the next month, the group of scientists (which had added two more members) experienced a series of 12 different sightings. In each of these cases, the objects were totally silent, moved at supersonic speeds, and sometimes turned at right angles. Meanwhile, in the town of Lubbock itself, more than 200 concerned citizens also viewed the unusual aerial display.
On August 31, 1951, resident and amateur photographer Carl Hart Jr. saw the objects. Hart took a 35-mm Kodak camera and walked to the backyard of his parent's home to see if the lights would return. Two more flights passed overhead, and Hart was able to take a total of five photos before they disappeared. After having the photos developed Hart took them to the offices of the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal. After examining the photos the newspaper's editor, Jay Harris, told Hart that he would print them in the paper, but that he would "run him (Hart) out of town" if the photos were fake. When Hart assured him that the photos were genuine, Harris paid Hart $10 for the pictures. The photographs were eventually sent to newspapers around the nation, and were printed in LIFE magazine.
On August 31, resident Carl Hart Jr. snapped this famous photograph of a formation of objects as they passed over the town. The photograph has never been satisfactorily explained
The physics laboratory at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio analyzed the Hart photographs. After an extensive analysis and investigation of the photos, Lieutenant Edward J. Ruppelt, the supervisor of the Air Force's Project Blue Book, released a written statement to the press that "the Hart photos were never proven to be hoax, but neither were they proven to be genuine". Hart has consistently maintained to this day that the photos are genuine. Curiously, the Texas Tech professors claimed that the photos did not represent what they had seen, since their objects had flown in a "u" formation instead of the "v" formation depicted in Hart's photos.
In late September 1951, Lieutenant Ruppelt read about the Lubbock Lights and decided to investigate them. Ruppelt traveled to Lubbock and interviewed the professors, Carl Hart, and others who claimed to have witnessed the lights. Ruppelt's conclusion at the time was that the professors had seen a type of bird called a plover. The city of Lubbock had installed new vapor street lights in 1951, and Ruppelt believed that the plovers, flying over Lubbock in their annual migration, were reflecting the new street lights at night. Witnesses who supported this assertion were T.E. Snider, a local farmer who on August 31, 1951 had observed some birds flying over a drive-in movie theater; the bird's undersides were reflected in the light. In addition, Dr. J. Allen Hynek, a professor of astronomy and one of Project Blue Book's scientific consultants, contacted one of the Texas Tech professors in 1959 and learned that the professor, after careful research, had concluded that he had actually been observing the plovers. However, not everyone agreed with this explanation.
William Hams, the chief photographer for the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal, took several nighttime photos of birds flying over Lubbock's vapor street lights and found that he could not duplicate Hart's photos - the images were too dim to be developed. Dr. J.C. Cross, the head of Texas Tech's biology department, ruled out the possibility that birds could have caused the sightings. A game warden Ruppelt interviewed felt that the sightings could not have been caused by plovers, due to their slow speed (50 MPH) and tendency to fly in groups much smaller than the number of objects reported by eyewitnesses. The warden did admit that an unusually large number of plovers had been seen in the fall of 1951. Dr. Mead, who had observed the lights, strongly disputed the plover explanation: "these objects were too large for any bird...I have had enough experience hunting and I don't know of any bird that could go this fast we would not be able to hear...to have gone as fast as this, to be birds, they would have to have been exceedingly low to disappear quite so quickly".
Curiously, in his bestselling 1956 book The Report on Unidentified Flying Objects, Ruppelt himself would come to reject the plover hypothesis, but frustratingly refrained from explaining what the lights in fact were: "They weren't birds, they weren't refracted light, but they weren't spaceships. The lights ... have been positively identified as a very commonplace and easily explainable natural phenomenon. It is very unfortunate that I can't divulge ... the way the answer was found.... Telling the story would lead to [the identity of the scientist who "finally hit upon the answer"] and ... I promised the man complete anonymity".
While investigating the Lubbock Lights, Ruppelt also learned that several people in and around Lubbock claimed to have seen a "flying wing" moving over the city. Among the witnesses was the wife of Dr. Ducker, who reported that in August 1951 she had observed a "huge, soundless flying wing" pass over her house. Ruppelt knew that the US Air Force did possess a "flying wing" jet bomber, and he felt that at least some of the sightings had been caused by the bomber, although he could not explain why, according to the witnesses, the wing made no sound as it flew overhead. Still there was little that could be done. By the end of August 1952, the UFOs had stopped appearing and the weird wave of sightings came to a sudden end.

A new book details the history of a mysterious group of human looking extraterrestrials that
established underground bases in Italy and met with local residents between 1956 and 1978. The author of Mass Contact, Stefano Breccia, is a well regarded Italian UFOLogist with an electrical engineering background who has taught at several Italian and foreign universities. He investigated the Amicizia (Friendship) case over a period of several decades during which he got to meet and question many of the primary witnesses. In the book, Breccia includes the testimony of Bruno Sammaciccio, a highly qualified Italian scholar with degrees in psychology and psychiatry, and author of 160 books. Sammaciccio’s testimony contains his claims of direct physical contact with extraterrestrials over several decades. Leading Italian UFOlogist, Dr Roberto Pinotti wrote the Preface to the book and acknowledged his own decades long knowledge of the Friendship case, and the extensive evidence supporting it. Some of the many photos taken of UFOs and extraterrestrials in the Friendship case rank among the best quality ever taken. In terms of its overall impact, number of participants involved, and documentary evidence compiled, Mass Contact is the most astonishing case of human extraterrestrial contact in modern history.
In the Preface, Dr Pinotti describes his amazement at overhearing his university professor talking about extraterrestrials while taking his final doctoral exam at the University of Florence in 1969. Upon approaching the professor and telling him of his interest in UFOs, the Professor asked Pinotti: “Are you aware of the underground alien base near Pescara and of its logistics.” Pinotti said it quickly became apparent that his professor belonged to the secret fellowship “which had been created in order to help the aliens in their enterprises on our planet.” Pinotti was able to confirm that “a group of human looking aliens from far away stars had built a huge underground structure along the shore of the Adriatic sea.” It was only with the passing away of Sammaciccio in 2003 that Pinotti decided to come forward to reveal his own knowledge of the case: “because in his will there was the request that his story be made known, without causing problems to anyone, I acknowledged that [it] was my duty to contribute to the truth, as much as possible.”
The story of Mass Contact began in 1956 when Bruno Sammaciccio and two friends met with two mysterious individuals who said they were extraterrestrials. One was over 8 foot tall while the other was just over 3 foot. Sammaciccio and his friends, initially skeptical, were eventually taken into a large underground base where they saw more of the alleged extraterrestrials. They also saw their children being educated, some of the advanced technologies they used, and their space ships. Finally convinced that they were really having physical contact with extraterrestrials, Sammaciccio and his friends began to help the extraterrestrials. They began with material support by arranging for truckloads of fruit, food and other material to be transported and unloaded at an extraterrestrial base. Eventually, two truckloads of supplies were being delivered every month to bases in different regions of Italy where Sammaciccio and his assistants lived.
Sammaciccio describes the various people involved in the case and who had direct meetings with the extraterrestrials. The individuals involved grew over time as Sammaciccio assisted the extraterrestrials in helping prepare humanity for the reality of human looking extraterrestrials from other planets. Breccia said that he personally met and interviewed almost 80 people who worked with or met the extraterrestrials. Most were in Italy, but others were from other countries that also had been exposed to the same group of extraterrestrials. Many of the extraterrestrials could easily blend into human society and even take normal jobs when necessary. The Friendship case helps confirm the accounts of a number of American contactees and whistleblowers that human looking extraterrestrials have blended into human society and have walked among us.
Sammaciccio finally described a violent conflict between two factions of extraterrestrials trying to influence humanity’s development and future. While his ‘Friendship’ faction promoted cosmic unity and ethical development, the other faction promoted technological development at all cost. This led to periodic violent clashes between the factions. Eventually, the underground bases of Sammaciccio’s extraterrestrial friends was destroyed in 1978. Survivors had to leave the Earth but promised to return at a future time when humanity was ready for a more ethical future of humanity interacting with extraterrestrials.
Sammaciccio’s astounding story sounds like an episode from Star Trek, but it is well supported by documentary evidence, some of Italy’s finest UFO researchers, and first hand witnesses of the events described. Some of the witnesses were leading statesmen, scholars and high society figures from Italy and Europe. Breccia includes a number of prefaces and statements by witnesses detailing the extensive number of people involved in the Friendship case. The English version of the book, however, suffers from poor translation, unnecessary coverage of other cases, and lacked a table of contents and index. Also, the cover does not do justice to the profound material in the book. Despite these limitations the book is highly recommended reading. It provides an excellent summary of the extensive evidence of extraterrestrials having secretly lived and interacted in Italy over a twenty two year period. As more material and witnesses emerge in Italy and other countries, the Friendhip case may be what finally confirms the reality of extraterrestrial life.
The following apparent UFO/alien sighting took place at about 9:04 am on 21 May 2008 in Salta, Argentina.
Residents of the town of San Carlos now claim seeing a strange being, standing some 40 cm tall, with a magnetic field that kept people from approaching it.
Two people, mechanic Walter Lopez and Omar Ferlatti, informed police about the sighting of the diminutive creature [apparent alien] whom they described in detail: the being was small, glowing and wore pants. It appeared it be protected by a magnetic field.
This incident increased the collective fear of the residents of this community of the Valles Chalchaquies even further. In recent days, a luminous object was seen in the vicinity of their town.
"Kids aren't going out at night out of fear of the strange creature and the UFO," claimed a resident of San Carlos in a statement to the Copenoa news agency.
Ferlatti and Lopez's account dovetails with the one given by a shepherdess on the hills, who was startled by the strange visitor.
Police have stated that both stories coincide and that local residents are indeed frightened. "It hasn't been seen again. It would be good for it to return, to ascertain that the events were indeed as described," said deputy sheriff Luis Comenares. Translation (c) 2008, S. Corrales, IHU. Authorities may have called them "stupid' and "juvenile" but the two men behind the recent Morris County UFO hoax say their stunt was, in the end, a glaring success. Chris Russo and Joe Rudy say they launched helium balloons with traffic flares tied to them in a "social experiment" to debunk the pseudoscience of UFOs.
A mother ship resembling a giant football, a whirling coin-shaped disk that flashes across the sky, a diamond-shaped craft with a brilliant, mirror-like surface…
These are among the most common UFO shapes, according to veteran UFO researcher Brad Steiger, author of Mysteries of Time and Space.
Here are detailed descriptions based on Steiger’s analysis of several thousand sightings over the past 40 years:
8. BLINDING LIGHT. Typically spotted at night, this UFO doesn’t have a definite shape - it’s simply a dazzling orange light. “But it moves methodically, as if guided by some form of alien intelligence.”
7. DIAMOND-SHAPED. This craft resembles the top half of a diamond mounted on a flat surface. Its exterior is polished and as dazzling as a mirror in bright sunlight. The UFO usually is about 18 feet across and 8 to 10 feet high. It has no portholes or windows.
6. EGG-SHAPED. This massive vehicle, thought to be a “mother ship” - has been reported to be up to 200 feet in length. It has an oval shape like an egg, with no visible portholes or windows, and glows slightly in the dark.
5. TOP-SHAPED. Reminiscent of a child’s toy top, this craft is fat in the middle and tapered above and below. It’s covered in multicolored lights. Powerful jets around its midsection move the UFO in any direction. “Round portholes often ring the vehicle. The body is often said to be grayish, like a shark’s skin.”
4. COIN-LIKE DISK. Shaped like a giant 50-cent piece, this UFO is the type most often reported by military and airline pilots flying at 20,000 to 40,000 feet. Eyewitnesses say the flat edger of the disk often is ringed with red or green lights. The spaceship is incredibly fast, zipping along at speeds of more than 2,500 MPH. “The craft has been estimated at 15 to 20 feet in diameter and 2 to 3 feet high.”
3. FOOTBALL-SHAPED. This craft has a thick black body that tapers off at either end. Smaller UFOs have reportedly been seen entering and leaving a bay on its lower surface - so it’s also often called a “mother ship.” Reports have placed the craft’s size at up to 80 feet long and 20 feet high.
2. CONICAL DISK. This UFO resembles a Chinese peasant’s large straw hat. It has a flat bottom. The craft is generally reported as being about 20 feet in diameter and 10 to 12 feet high at the peak, with no exterior lights.
1. THE CLASSIC FLYING SAUCER. This is the most common UFO of all; it’s been reported around the world for more than four decades, according to Steiger. “The craft has a metallic saucer-like body ranging in diameter from 10 to 15 feet. An exhaust port on the bottom emits a yellow light that dances like a flame upon takeoff. Bright lights rim the saucer and a clear circular dome is often seen on the saucer portion.”
A mysterious light in the skies above South Harrow has been captured on film by an amateur photographer.
The unidentified flying object appeared through the clouds at about 7.45pm on March 31 and was snapped by computer network engineer Ahmad Zaigham.
Mr Zaigham posted the picture on website Flickr where he said that he had spotted the alien ship out his window.
He said: "The light coming from this thing is something I have never seen the like. I don't think any aircraft has a light like this.
"And moments after this shot the object seemed to quickly fade in light and travel above at high speed. I did not hear any loud sound but I did hear a whistle kind of sound. I am still shocked."
Mr Zaigham said he may pass the picture on to Nasa.
After the first UFO video was posted, he also uploaded a second video from another source which purports to be a video shot on the same day.
And a third video was recently posted which shows an image supposedly shot from inside an aircraft at O'Hare on the same day.
He continues to remain anonymous though.
The following interview was conducted, at his request, through messages sent through youtube. His answers are unedited. We have asked for a copy of the original video to be given to the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) for analysis.
OHAREUFOWITNESS: Here's the exclusive interview as promised. Sorry i've only just got round to answering your questions but i've been swamped with messages from all over the world, including t.v, radio, newspapers, mags, websites, etc. I decided to give Roger the exclusive, simply because he was the first to ask, and because I'm sick of big media companies thinking they should get it first, just because they have lots of green coloured pieces of paper!!!, other people are just as important.
EXAMINER: Where were you filming from? OHAREUFOWITNESS: I was at some distance from the airport, and remember I was filming at 4xdigital zoom, but I was facing Concourse C as far as I can remember.
EXAMINER: Details as far as height and distance away from being directly under it. OHAREUFOWITNESS: O, I was roughly 100 meters away from the saucer, UFO looked to be be at a height of 750 feet from the ground. The reason I got the incredible angle I got, was because I was stood on a wall with my camera held at arm's length, held high above my head and I was filming at full zoom of 4x.
EXAMINER: How long did you observe it? Is this all the footage you have? OHAREUFOWITNESS: I just turned around Roger and it was there, I observed it for 2 minutes. I only got 1 miute of film because my cell phone memory was full.
EXAMINER: How many people were with you , around looking at it? OHAREUFOWITNESS: I was alone but I could see about 7 other people in the distance all with cell phones going bonkers, shouting, so others must have footage and pics. One guy had what looked like a camcorder???
EXAMINER: Do you know of any one else with footage or photos? OHAREUFOWITNESS: The other people I know with footage and photos, contacted me through youtube after I came forward, I have met these 2 witnesses and posted their evidence, all I can say is that they seemed like credible men. I've had other people contact me, and I have arranged meetings to view their evidence, if it's credible and they check out, and they let me post the footage, I will.
EXAMINER: Which direction were you facing? OHAREUFOWITNESS: I was facing Concourse C.
EXAMINER: What was weather condition like? OHAREUFOWITNESS: Weather was overcast, cloudy, but with some breaks in the clouds, where blue sky could be seen, thats why the clip looks like it does.
EXAMINER: How light was it at that time? OHAREUFOWITNESS: sky could be seen, thats why the clip looks like it does.
EXAMINER: What model phone camera was it that you used? OHAREUFOWITNESS: The phone was a Samsung SGH-D900 3 Megapixel camera phone.
EXAMINER: Did you zoom in on it? OHAREUFOWITNESS: Filming all the time at 4x digital zoom.
EXAMINER: Describe the characteristic of the object as far as color, shape, motion, sound, anything. OHAREUFOWITNESS: UFO looked gigantic, hazy, dark, metallic, silent, cigar/saucer shaped, frozen still. Then it shot off upwards after 2 minutes at what I would estimate to be 30-40,000 mph.
EXAMINER: Did you run into more people since then that claim to have seen it, have photos, or video footage? OHAREUFOWITNESS: Only people I have run into with o'hare UFO claims are through youtube since I came forward.
EXAMINER: Would you talk to Sam Maranto who investigated this case with NARCAP? OHAREUFOWITNESS: I refuse to get involved with skeptics/debunkers/researchers/believers. People can think what the hell they like, no way am I throwing myself to the dogs, so they can all attack my credibility, I've had enough of this on youtube since I came forward. It is what it is, think what they want, but trust me, my footage is genuine, and shows a real UFO. Lots of people are now trying to debunk the other 2 pieces of evidence, but they cant get an exact match on the clouds on the extraterrestrial tourists clip, which proves it's real, and I cant wait for the sorry ass excuses regarding captain Smiths 35mm photo.
EXAMINER: Can a better copy be sent to him for evaluation? OHAREUFOWITNESS: I will consider sending a better copy of my clip, this will be to you Roger, I will let you know soon, probably will actually to have it looked at by experts to shut the debunkers up.
More OHAREUFOWITNESS: One woman contacted me who says she saw a green reptilian man with glowing red eyes on that day, she says he evaporated before her very eyes at the airport.
One man says he saw a beautiful blue woman dressed in a black cat suit, complete with weapons belt and a laser gun in one of the airport toilets on that day, he said she was holding a long silver tube with 3 red lights on it, she pushed one and vanished, he claims he sufferd physical effects after this.
A man says he is a doctor and that he was boarding an aircraft, and he witnessed a dark saucer pop in and out of the clouds for a few brief seconds on that day.
Anyway roger, I have no way of proving these claims, I have told them to come forward.
Have to go, take care Roger, I will be in touch soon with the original clip for analysis.
Cheers.
END OF INTERVIEW
On March 27, 2009, Ohareufowitness posted a second video from another source. Here is both the video and what his unedited description.
"Since I posted my video clip, I have been contacted through You Tube by many, many people. One guy sent me his telephone number and over a detailed conversation he told me that he had also witnessed and filmed a UFO at the airport on the same day, and on Wednesday 25th I met up with him, he seemed like a credible and honest man, and I have no reason to doubt his claims.
"He told me that he has never come forward because he does not want to be the subject of ridicule, and he does not want to be involved with the media, UFO researchers and UFO fanatics, and who can blame him?, just look at the reaction I have received in less than a week. He told me that on November 7th 2006 he was at Chicago O'hare International Airport when he saw a huge Flying Saucer, he said he grabbed his cell phone and started filming the UFO, he witnessed the Flying Saucer hovering for 1 minute over the airport after which time he said it just simply vanished before his very eyes. He said that after 45 seconds his cell phone suddenly cut off and went dead, which he cant explain as it was fully charged. He said that the UFO was a huge, silent, dark, hazy, saucer-shaped, metallic craft. He thinks that several different UFO'S were witnessed that day as his sighting was at 4.28 p:m, and he believes that the true, full story has still yet to be told.
"He has decided to share his stunning evidence with the world, and here it is, he wishes to remain anonymous, and wants to simply get on with his life without any hassle. The sound from his clip has been removed to protect his identity as he can be clearly heard speaking. Believe what you want, but I believe his footage is genuine and shows an Unidentified Flying Object of unknown origin. Photo copyright 2009 ohareufowitness
On March 30, 2009, Ohareufowitness posted the following story and video - claiming a third source.I could not get the link in the story below to work.
After over 2 years, is the truth regarding the Chicago O'hare UFO incident finally coming to light??? I met up with a Pilot on Saturday 28th and he had this to say.
"On November 7th 2006 we had just left Chicago O'hare Airport, roughly 10 minutes into the flight at 3:45 p.m we were cruising smoothly at 37,000 feet when suddenly our attention was drawn to a dark, solid, wingless, cigar/disc shaped UFO which suddenly appeared in our view through the cockpit window. The UFO was dangerously close and roughly 100 feet in diameter. We immediately contacted Air Traffic Control, but was told that no unknown object was being picked up on radar. Myself the captain, my co-pilot and a flight attendant all observed the UFO for 1 minute before it shot off at incredible speed, the quick thinking flight attendant reached for his 35 mm camera and took several photographs of the UFO. We decided we would keep our story to ourselves, but are now ready to disclose it to the public".
A photo of a UFO hovering next to an RAF jet over Scotland was treated seriously, newly-released Ministry of Defence files show.
Officials briefed ministers on the sighting of a diamond-shaped object near Pitlochry, Perthshire, in 1990.
A memo suggested the media be told "no definite conclusions" could be reached.
The documents show officials were more concerned about secret weapons being developed by other countries rather than alien visitors.
The sightings were brought to the attention of the MoD by the Daily Record newspaper.
Witnesses reported seeing an object hanging in the air for 10 minutes before it ascended vertically at high speed.
The question is what are the Russians testing and could any of these sightings be something of that kind? Dr David Clarke Lecturer, Sheffield Hallam University
Military experts concluded the aircraft pictured was a Harrier, but could not identify the mystery object.
Fearing there could be significant media interest, officials provided ministers with guidelines for answering questions.
The memo noted there was no record of Harriers operating in the area at the time and suggested the media should be told: "no definite conclusions reached regarding large diamond-shaped object."
Drawings were later commissioned of the object with a note saying: "Sensitivity of material suggests special handling."
The seven files, produced by the DI55 branch of the Defence Intelligence Staff, contain details of 1,200 UFO sightings between November 1987 and April 1983. They include:
* A woman who was approached by an alien with a "Scandinavian-type accent" near Norwich in 1989. * A spate of sightings in London in 1993, explained by the presence of an illuminated airship advertising the Ford Mondeo. * Sightings by crews of six RAF Tornado jets of a UFO over Germany in 1990, believed to be a stealth aircraft.
Pilot death
They also reveal how the MoD abandoned a plan to computerise its records of UFO sightings in case it prompted public concern.
The files dismiss 1992 media reports that the death of a US Air Force pilot was caused by a UFO over the North Sea.
A local newspaper had reported that Capt William Schaffner's last radio messages referred to a conical shape followed by another shape "like a large soccer ball ... made of glass".
The military investigation concluded he misjudged his height as he practised shadowing low-flying targets at night.
Dr David Clarke, UFO expert and journalism lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University, said the files showed the MoD was "not the slightest bit interested in aliens".
"They're only interested in the defence implications," he said
"The question is what are the Russians testing and could any of these sightings be something of that kind? As soon as they have eliminated that, they are not interested."
The new movie RACE TO WITCH MOUNTAIN, which opened in theatres on Friday, March 13, continues the acclimation process for the public on the possibility or probability that we are being visited by extraterrestrial and/or extra-dimensional intelligent beings.
Interestingly, March 13 is also the anniversary of the 1997 "Phoenix lights incident" when a huge V-shaped craft reportedly flew slowly, silently and at a low altitude over Phoenix in the early evening hours.
Films, TV shows, books and other media platforms have long been part of an alleged effort to prepare Americans and people internationally for the idea that some unidentified flying objects (UFOs) are piloted by intelligent visitors to Earth.
RACE TO WITCH MOUNTAIN will bring moviegoers a new opportunity to wrap our minds around these concepts.
Director Andy Fickman has stated that the idea of such visitation to Earth is something he finds very interesting and plausible. UFO experts and personnel associated with the U.S. military and the CIA reportedly helped in the research for the movie.
Walt Disney Pictures brought Fickman onboard to help create a newer and different version of the 1975 ESCAPE TO WITCH MOUNTAIN. It is not a remake, but described as "a modern re-imagining." Mark Lopez and Mark Bomback worked on the screenwriting for the project.
HOLLYWOOD AND ACCLIMATION
There have long been reports that Hollywood was recruited to help prepare people for a scenario in which we would need to be ready to deal with the idea of unusual visitors to Earth.
This is consistent with the cooperation between Hollywood and the U.S. defense and intelligence communities during World War II and in subsequent years on a variety of subjects.
Walt Disney allegedly was approached by the U.S. military in the 1950s about creating a movie on this subject. Work was reportedly begun on the film, but the plug was pulled for reasons that remain unclear.
Decades later, Steven Spielberg created CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND. Rumors still circulate that he, too, had government-related sources who whispered in his ear about real-life aspects of the UFO situation.
There is a long list of movies, TV shows and books that address the topics of UFOs, visitors from elsewhere and a range of other unconventional topics that could be related.
Even Army Air Corps veteran Jack Webb of TV's "Dragnet" created the series "Project UFO" which ran on NBC for two seasons in 1978 and 1979. The show followed the activities of two Air Force investigators of Project Bluebook, the real-life program of UFO case investigation, and/or part of the cover-up, according to some observers.
Project Bluebook was based at southwestern Ohio's Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton. As many people know, Wright-Patterson AFB is alleged to be the location where wreckage was taken after the "Roswell incident" in the summer of 1947.
CAST OF HUMANS
And now, RACE TO WITCH MOUNTAIN will continue this process of sparking the imaginations of movie audiences, and possibly helping us get ready for more understanding and insight about UFOs and unconventional visitors.
Dwayne Johnson stars as a Las Vegas cab driver who meets two kids – or are they? AnnaSophia Robb and Alexander Ludwig play the extraterrestrial kids who must get to the super-secret U.S. facility at Witch Mountain.
Johnson and the ET kids encounter some open-minded and visionary scientists (Carla Gugino and Garry Marshall) while being pursued by "men in black" who want to stop them ... or worse.
The cast includes actors from the original 1975 movie. Kim Richards, who played the girl, is a roadhouse waitress in the new film. Ike Eisenmann, the boy, plays Sheriff Anthony.
Real-life UFO researchers Whitley Strieber and William J. Birnes have cameo roles.
RACE TO WITCH MOUNTAIN is sure to be a fun movie-going experience for kids, teens and adults who will enjoy the fast-paced and thoughtful script.
And, maybe we will be more prepared for new realities dawning in the 21st century.
The Thinking Person's UFO Book by Gordon Chism demands the release of secret government records proving the existence of extraterrestrial life
FORT BRAGG, Calif. (MMD Newswire) March 19, 2009 -- The Thinking Person's UFO Book by Gordon Chism argues that the accumulated evidence of videotapes, photographs, radar returns, trace evidence and personal experiences prove that Earth has been visited by extraterrestrial beings. A self-proclaimed witness of one such visit in the high desert country of Nevada, Chism contends that government cover-ups have clouded the truth about UFOs.
"Great good can come from acknowledging that we are but one of possibly thousands of intelligent civilizations in our galaxy," says Chism. "If proof of alien visitations were verified, we would have to abandon our ancient human-centric view of the cosmos, thus humbling humanity, and bringing us to our rational senses in time to save our biosphere from human excesses."
The book opens with a detailed account of Chism's own encounter with a UFO followed by an explanation of the mechanisms of human denial concerning alien existence. In conclusion, Chism asks that aware citizens, through a web campaign, force the government and military to release all UFO documents and materials through federal legislation.
NASA the U.S. space agency, may want to brace itself for a flood of lawsuits in small claims courts. The idea was brought up at the recent International UFO Congress, and supporters will again promote it at the X-Conference next month.
Small claims courts, are similar to the ones seen on television show like the popular People's Court, are usually cases of neighbor disputes over minor property issues. Where citizens can file suit against another person, business, government, or other enitity for an amount not to exceed hundreds or thousands of dollars, depending on the state or county, Attorneys are not allowed for either the plaintiff or defendant.
Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it.
Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many.
Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books.
Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders.
Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations.
But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.
