UFO over Etna Volcano, Aug. 1st.

A mysterious object was sighted and taken with a camera on the south-east crater of the volcano Etna. In this period of intense UFO activity, there are testimonies about sightings of OVNI on Vesuvius, which raises the hypothesis of a link between UFOs and volcanic eruptions as happened in Mexico.
Annalisa Director Web Magazine "Noiegliextraterrestri" has published a report of UFO sightings on Etna:"I get the alert of a reader" Noiegliextraterrestri "which has been achieved an impressive sighting, with Video cameras, a non-terrestrial flying object fly over the southeast crater of Etna.

Lunar Eclipse August 2009

This has been an active celestial 60 days! We had the Summer Solstice on June 21st, a Lunar Eclipse on July 7th, a total Eclipse of the Sun on July 22nd and, in a few days, another Penumbra Lunar Eclipse on August 6th. This will be visible here in the United States, but it will difficult to see. The Full Moon will dim only slightly, as the Eclipse peaks at 8:40PM EDT. The Earth will only block out a very small portion of the sunlight that illuminates the Full Moon.

Why am I talking about this stuff in a Metaphysical column? Well, because according to many "in the know", each one of those specific celestial events was a downloading of some sort of energy into the Earth grid. It is all part of the raising of the vibration of the planet we talked about as we move towards 2012. Can I prove any of this scientifically to you? No. All I can do is pass along the information. So, the next logical question is: What does the Eclipse this week mean?

To answer that, here's a quick excerpt from Ron Baker's website:

"As you enter the final month of this stage, you will bring COMMITMENT TO FORM.

How you have used your choices and inner process to develop a commitment will determine what you will manifest at this time. How able to move with the flow are you at this point? How able are you to deal with things that are unexpected coming into your life as clues?

It is all there to serve you. However, it all depends on the use of your will and your ability to respond.

Remember that all individuals and groups represent aspects of the divine. So practice moving beyond right and wrong...and move into valuing instead. Transcend your age old fighting against someone else in the name of God...which is one of your biggest myths that keep you in fear and separation and duality and un-fulfillment.

So use this time to become wiser and more informed about who you are, what is important to you, as well as what power you hold in looking to the new and responding with clear choices. "

NORTH PORT -- It's Mutual UFO Network's case No. 17015.

North Porter Michael Rowley's bizarre story is fit for a lost episode of television's "X-Files."

After several alien sightings, Rowley has had his claims investigated by MUFON of Florida.

MUFON is composed of people "seriously interested in studying and researching the phenomenon of Unidentified Flying Objects," according to the MUFON Web site. Information collected is used to "educate the public" about UFO sightings and "plausible contact with intelligent life outside" of the Earthly atmosphere.

A resident since April, Rowley, 58, and his 15-year-old son, Shane, say they have encountered two, 9-foot-tall, pale aliens in their yard on at least three occasions.

The first time Michael saw the creature, he was outside at night fixing a water pump.

As he approached the water pump, Michael claims he heard a "swoosh" sound and saw branches being pushed into the woods near his home on the eastern end of town.

"What the heck was that?" Michael said he asked Shane. "There was something tall and thin that rushed out of the woods. But there where no breaking sounds (of branches being walked on). It was like the thing didn't even step on the ground. Then it disappeared."

However, Shane says he already knew what it was because he witnessed the alien a day earlier.

Shane said on April 10, he was at home in bed. The room didn't have curtains.

Shane said he looked out the window and saw a figure outside.

"It was pale, gray and very tall, in the 9-foot range," he said. "The face was larger than average, round and hairless. The eyes were large and more oval-shaped, and dark to the point where you could not see the pupils."

He said he could not see the alleged creature's hands as if they "nearly touched the ground."

Shane was shocked to see another one behind the first one in a tree.

"It was crouching sideways and was halfway up a palm tree," he said. "It was a medium-sized creature, green in coloration (and) textured skin, much like sandpaper or scales. Its face was the shape of a heart or spade, with elf-like, pointed ears."

He said it was on the tree "bobbing its head back and forth" as though it were looking at the other creature and then at him, Shane explained.

After about five minutes of staring at the creatures around 1 a.m., he said he lost time.

"It was 8:30 (a.m.)," he said. "I don't know what happened in-between."

As crazy as it sounds -- and Michael will admit it sounds crazy -- he worries his son was abducted for a short time.

The father and son said they believe they have both previously seen "plate-shaped" UFOs when they lived in Cosmopolis, Wash.

"(They were) flying on their sides, with an unearthly blue color ... flying downward for momentum, then up and out," Michael said. "I think they might have followed us to North Port."

After two more alleged experiences seeing the creatures, Michael wrote to the Mutual UFO Network of Florida. He explained that he captured on tape a "blinking red (eyeball-like) light in the woods, that made a 'Chewbacca'-like sound."

Shane was angry at it for following him.

"I went into woods with a scythe to defend my home," Shane said. "My father would not let me."

Michael told his son, "if you go into those woods, who is going to have to go in there and get you?"

After Michael's second encounter with the creature, where he said he startled it in his yard, he says he finally has proof it exists.

"It left a footprint in the sand and I made a plaster cast of it," he said. "I took pictures and invited the MUFON UFO Network to come investigate."

Michael says the footprint is not from a human.

"It's hoofed and clawed and is about 18 inches long. It came from a dragon-like creature."

Michael described the creature as cryptid -- a term used in cryptozoology to describe a creature that lacks scientific support, such as a Big Foot or Yeti, as well as extinct species some claim to still be living today.

MUFON field investigator Morgan A. Beall visited the Rowleys.

On May 21, he started case No. 17015, which includes a half-hour documentary he made of the Rowleys' encounters, photographs of the footprint, the negatives and the plaster cast.

According to his findings, Beall wrote "based on case studies, the nature of the witness testimony and other surrounding occurrences points toward the possibility of the abduction phenomenon. More evidence is needed to determine this opinion."

Beall recommended a lie detector test, having the footprint cast examined by independent experts, having the video evidence examined by a professional and having a Florida MUFON abduction specialist examine the case.

Michael said he would like to have Mary Margaret Zimmer, assistant state director of MUFON, examine Shane.

"I think she will be able to help him find where he was taken when he lost time when he was possibly abducted," Michael said.

According to Zimmer, neither of the Rowleys have contacted her yet.

"Shane is a minor, so I would need his father's permission to examine him," she said.

The Rowleys say they are convinced they are

being followed by the creatures.

"I want to sell my home," said Michael, who is on disability benefits. "We are considering moving to England. Maybe they will not find us there."

Man touches UFO that made crop circle?

Over at Earthfiles, Linda Moulton reports that investigators Paul Jones and Andrew Pyrka were checking out a bird-shaped crop circle in June. When an angry farmer kicked them out of his fields, they started to drive away. But then they saw this shiny, orb-like thing floating in a nearby field. Could it have been the author of the crop circle they'd just been investigating? Jones wanted to find out, so he started filming it.

Moulton writes:

Andrew Pyrka was very confused. He was looking all around him, but could not see anything in the sky in any direction! So, Paul began trying to guide Andrew by phone closer and closer to the silver craft above him. At one point, Paul yells in the phone, "Andrew, you're so close, put your arm up and see if you can feel anything."

Andrew Pyrka lifted his left arm straight up toward the sky. "Instantly, when I put my arm up, there was a huge jolt of electrical current that went down my raised arm. I don't think I touched anything solid," he told me, "but I definitely interacted with some kind of strong field the UFO must have been giving off. But why couldn't I see it where I was, while Paul could not only see it, he videotaped it for another fifteen minutes?"

Lubbock Light Case

Aug 3, 2009

It all began on the evening of August 25, 1951, in Lubbock, Texas. A scientist, Joe Bryant, from the Atomic Energy Commission and his wife were in the yard of their home. A total of 20-30 lights, as bright as stars but larger in size, flew over the yard in a matter of seconds. According to Bryant, he and his wife had seen a group of lights fly overhead, and then two other flights, but when the third group of lights passed overhead they began to circle the Bryant's home. Mr. Bryant and his wife then noticed that the lights were actually plovers, and could hear them as well. The craft was covered with colored lights and strange markings. Unknown to the couple, other witnesses in the area were also seeing strange objects. The next report came from another group of scientists including a geologist, two engineers, and a physicist, each of who observed a formation of nearly three-dozen unidentified turquoise lights moving quickly overhead from north to south. The three professors - Dr. A.G. Oberg, chemical engineer, Dr. W.L. Ducker, a department head and petroleum engineer, and Dr. W.I. Robinson, a geologist - reported their sighting to the local newspaper, the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal. Following the newspaper's article, three women in Lubbock reported that they had observed "peculiar flashing lights" in the sky on the same night of the professor's sightings. Dr. Carl Hemminger, a professor of German at Texas Tech, also reported seeing the objects, as did the head of the college's journalism department. A few hours later, another fleet of UFOs flew over the group of scientists in an unorganized cluster. The “Lubbock Lights” case had begun!

The Lubbock Lights incident received national publicity and is regarded as one of the first great UFO cases in the United States. The couple and the group of scientists reported their sighting to the Air Force, which began an investigation. According to Dr. Grayson Mead the lights "appeared to be about the size of a dinner plate and they were greenish-blue, slightly fluorescent in color. They were smaller than the full moon at the horizon. There were about a dozen to fifteen of these lights...they were absolutely circular...it gave all of us...an extremely eerie feeling." Mead claimed that the lights could not have been birds, but he also admitted that "they (the lights) went over so fast...that we wished we could have had a better look." The professors observed one formation of lights flying above a thin cloud at about 2,000 feet; this allowed them to calculate that the lights were traveling at over 600 MPH.

The Air Force found further confirmation for the sighting when the nearby radar station of the Air Defense Command Network reported that they observed the unknown objects on their radarscopes and clocked them at a speed of 900 miles per hour. The group of scientists was amazed by their two sightings, and they conjectured that the UFOs might return. They decided to conduct a UFO stakeout. To their amazement, the UFOs did return, again and again! Over the next month, the group of scientists (which had added two more members) experienced a series of 12 different sightings. In each of these cases, the objects were totally silent, moved at supersonic speeds, and sometimes turned at right angles. Meanwhile, in the town of Lubbock itself, more than 200 concerned citizens also viewed the unusual aerial display.

On August 31, 1951, resident and amateur photographer Carl Hart Jr. saw the objects. Hart took a 35-mm Kodak camera and walked to the backyard of his parent's home to see if the lights would return. Two more flights passed overhead, and Hart was able to take a total of five photos before they disappeared. After having the photos developed Hart took them to the offices of the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal. After examining the photos the newspaper's editor, Jay Harris, told Hart that he would print them in the paper, but that he would "run him (Hart) out of town" if the photos were fake. When Hart assured him that the photos were genuine, Harris paid Hart $10 for the pictures. The photographs were eventually sent to newspapers around the nation, and were printed in LIFE magazine.

On August 31, resident Carl Hart Jr. snapped this famous photograph of a formation of objects as they passed over the town. The photograph has never been satisfactorily explained

The physics laboratory at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio analyzed the Hart photographs. After an extensive analysis and investigation of the photos, Lieutenant Edward J. Ruppelt, the supervisor of the Air Force's Project Blue Book, released a written statement to the press that "the Hart photos were never proven to be hoax, but neither were they proven to be genuine". Hart has consistently maintained to this day that the photos are genuine. Curiously, the Texas Tech professors claimed that the photos did not represent what they had seen, since their objects had flown in a "u" formation instead of the "v" formation depicted in Hart's photos.

In late September 1951, Lieutenant Ruppelt read about the Lubbock Lights and decided to investigate them. Ruppelt traveled to Lubbock and interviewed the professors, Carl Hart, and others who claimed to have witnessed the lights. Ruppelt's conclusion at the time was that the professors had seen a type of bird called a plover. The city of Lubbock had installed new vapor street lights in 1951, and Ruppelt believed that the plovers, flying over Lubbock in their annual migration, were reflecting the new street lights at night. Witnesses who supported this assertion were T.E. Snider, a local farmer who on August 31, 1951 had observed some birds flying over a drive-in movie theater; the bird's undersides were reflected in the light. In addition, Dr. J. Allen Hynek, a professor of astronomy and one of Project Blue Book's scientific consultants, contacted one of the Texas Tech professors in 1959 and learned that the professor, after careful research, had concluded that he had actually been observing the plovers. However, not everyone agreed with this explanation.

William Hams, the chief photographer for the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal, took several nighttime photos of birds flying over Lubbock's vapor street lights and found that he could not duplicate Hart's photos - the images were too dim to be developed. Dr. J.C. Cross, the head of Texas Tech's biology department, ruled out the possibility that birds could have caused the sightings. A game warden Ruppelt interviewed felt that the sightings could not have been caused by plovers, due to their slow speed (50 MPH) and tendency to fly in groups much smaller than the number of objects reported by eyewitnesses. The warden did admit that an unusually large number of plovers had been seen in the fall of 1951. Dr. Mead, who had observed the lights, strongly disputed the plover explanation: "these objects were too large for any bird...I have had enough experience hunting and I don't know of any bird that could go this fast we would not be able to hear...to have gone as fast as this, to be birds, they would have to have been exceedingly low to disappear quite so quickly".

Curiously, in his bestselling 1956 book The Report on Unidentified Flying Objects, Ruppelt himself would come to reject the plover hypothesis, but frustratingly refrained from explaining what the lights in fact were: "They weren't birds, they weren't refracted light, but they weren't spaceships. The lights ... have been positively identified as a very commonplace and easily explainable natural phenomenon. It is very unfortunate that I can't divulge ... the way the answer was found.... Telling the story would lead to [the identity of the scientist who "finally hit upon the answer"] and ... I promised the man complete anonymity".

While investigating the Lubbock Lights, Ruppelt also learned that several people in and around Lubbock claimed to have seen a "flying wing" moving over the city. Among the witnesses was the wife of Dr. Ducker, who reported that in August 1951 she had observed a "huge, soundless flying wing" pass over her house. Ruppelt knew that the US Air Force did possess a "flying wing" jet bomber, and he felt that at least some of the sightings had been caused by the bomber, although he could not explain why, according to the witnesses, the wing made no sound as it flew overhead. Still there was little that could be done. By the end of August 1952, the UFOs had stopped appearing and the weird wave of sightings came to a sudden end.

Exclusive: Secret Canadian Government Documents show US/CA UFO Coverup

Source: the Inquisitr

After the Inquisitr covered an incident earlier this week where an Unidentified Flying Object crashed into the Ottawa River near Ottawa, Ontario Canada, we received a mysterious email from someone in possession of thousands of previously classified Canadian government documents revealing how the government would deal with the UFO phenomenon should one land on Canadian soil.

The sender of this email attached several samples of said documents and if you’ve wondered why the governments of the United States and Canada never publicly acknowledge the existence of UFOs, it’s because Canada has followed in the footsteps of the US and opted to cover up or downplay such incidents.

Below is a screenshot of one of the documents. Note the second picture where section 5 is highlighted.

On April 19, 1950, recommendations were drawn up by Canada’s Director of Scientific Intelligence at the time, A. J. G. Langly, for debriefing questionaires to be handed out by the RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) in the event someone reported a UFO sighting to them.

Section 5. of that document above states:

“5. You might also consider it advisable to add that should the Flying Saucer actually make a landing on Canadian territory, the nearest RCAF (Royal Canadian Air Force) Command should be advised immediately by telegram or something of the sort.”

The reply to that first letter is below. Read it carefully and also the notes following.

cover-it-up-like-the-us

“The present USAF policy is to play down the subject, investigating only when considered necessary by the area commander without any special arrangements for reporting or investigation.

2. It seems that a similar policy on our part would be wise and that it would be undesirable to produce a special questionnaire or make any arrangements for investigation since this would give publicity to the matter. It is suggested therefore that sighting reports should not be solicited and such as pro-volunteered should be passed to DSI for retention and further notion only if further notion seems necessary.

3. It may perhaps be advisable to have this matter brought up in committee so that an official decision can be taken.”

The recommendations state that USAF (United States Air Force) policy at the time was to play down UFO sightings, and that the Canadian RCMP should not have a questionaire for people who report such sightings because collecting information would draw publicity to the matter. However, if someone submitted their own written statement of a sighting to police, it should be accepted but passed on to another organization to decide whether or not to investigate.

This is just the first sample of these declassified documents. The Inquisitr will have more in this series as we obtain more information from our source. Stay tuned and remember to look up now and then. You never know what you’ll see.

Hysteria drives UFO gatekeepers debunking exopolitics pioneers

Michael Salla, Ph.D.

Honolulu Exopolitics Examiner

August 1, 2:46 PM

A new breed of UFOlogist has emerged as critics of the burgeoning exopolitics movement. It’s no surprise that in the lead up and success of the world’s first Exopolitics Summit in Barcelona, Spain, that UFOlogists would increasingly perceive exopolitics as an existential threat. The existential threat, according to UFOlogists acting as gatekeepers for “legitimate UFO research,” is that exopoliticians mix reliable with unreliable UFO sources in their analyses. Indeed, this mixing of reliable and unreliable sources leads to a special form of hysteria among gatekeepers of legitimate UFO research. Existential hysteria leads to UFOlogical gatekeepers claiming in all seriousness that exopolitics has become the main obstacle to genuine UFO disclosure. The reality is that after six decades of earnest activity, UFOlogy has failed to take humanity to the promised land of genuine government disclosure of UFOs, and a new set of pioneers have stepped in to light the way. These exopolitical pioneers believe that a nuanced consideration of ALL evidentiary sources and related political processes will expose the truth behind the extraterrestrial hypothesis – that some UFOs are interplanetary in origin.

Speakers at European Exopolitics Summit

UFOlogy is broadly defined as a field dominated by those believing in the scientific study of the UFO phenomenon. Using methods and techniques borrowed from disciplines such as physics, meteorology, astronomy and biology, UFOlogists believe that they can amass sufficient evidence to convince hard core skeptics that UFOs are real, and have genuine national security implications. In such an endeavor, any evidence deemed to be unreliable, tainted, not consistent with facts, is jettisoned in order not to corrupt the raw pool of reliable data needed to convince UFO skeptics. The end result of this rigid filtering process is a pool of data that UFOs are indeed real and have important national security implications. For example, UFOs outperform modern aircraft, have crashed and been retrieved in mysterious circumstances, and are often sighted near nuclear installations.

STARGAZER Jason Goldthorpe could not believe his eyes when he saw a cluster of "UFOs" flying in formation "higher than a plane".

Astonished Jason, 37, caught the phenomenon on camera above his house.

He said: "The objects were shining gold in the sky, too high to be balloons, and looking just like I would imagine UFOs to look.

"It was around teatime, the sky was clear, and they lingered in the sky for an hour or so, like they were watching us."

Delivery driver Jason, of St Helens, Lancs, said he has spotted the strange objects many times before, but this time decided to film what happened.

The dad-of-two added: "I've seen these objects in the sky for the past four years.

"They always appear at teatime and just on one day, either at the beginning or end of the month.

"Friends have also seen them and I thought it was time the world knew that something is out there."

Jason, who has posted his footage on YouTube, added: "It's as though these objects are watching and studying us. It's all quite eerie really."
