Better Late Than Never, maybe?

Can’t blame Alexandro Rojas of the Mutual UFO Network for getting psyched about the close encounter with Mr. Sugar Daddy. After all, says MUFON’s director of public education, the 5,500 UFO reports compiled last year represent a doubling of activity in American skies from 2007.

Obviously, the ability to dispatch qualified, rapid-response investigators to a physical contact site without having to worry about money is a longstanding dream. MUFON counts 300 members who’ve completed standardized training and know how to collect and catalogue soil, foliage and other environmental samples.

“Our big issues have always been travel budgets and lab analysis,” says Rojas from his home in Denver. “Now, we’ll be able to mobilize investigators and gather the evidence immediately.”
